Join Yoga Effect for a morning of yoga and an authentic Ethiopian coffee ceremony to fund yoga classes for marginalized girls in the Dominican Republic.
Teacher Laurie Gates will begin the morning with a 75 minute yoga class focused on core work that will leave you feeling empowered. After class, Yoga Effect founders will honor participants with an authentic Ethiopian coffee ceremony as a sign of hospitality and respect.

Ethiopia's coffee ceremony is an integral part of their social and cultural life. An invitation to attend a coffee ceremony is considered a mark of friendship or respect and is an excellent example of Ethiopian hospitality.11:30 AM - Introduction to Yoga Effect
While we wait for the coffee to perfectly roast, Gina and Georgia of Yoga Effect will give participants a brief overview of Yoga Effect’s mission to empower women and girls with the benefits of yoga.

Grab your lunch to-go or sit down in the grass and network with your fellow yogis. Discuss what you learned about the Manipura Chakra, Yoga Effect, or coffee!
